Return & Refund Policy
Last updated: 22/05/2026
1. Overview
This Return & Refund Policy applies to purchases made through the website of JRP Bakery Limited (“we”, “our”, “us”). We supply ambient stable bakery products to both consumers and trade customers throughout the United Kingdom.
Due to the perishable nature of our products, special conditions apply to cancellations, returns and refunds.
2. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including your rights under the:
- Consumer Rights Act 2015
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013
- Food Safety Act 1990
3. Perishable Goods
Our products are food items with a limited shelf life and are therefore classed as perishable goods.
Under Regulation 28 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the right to cancel does not apply to goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.
For this reason:
- We do not accept returns of food products unless the products are faulty, damaged, unsafe, or supplied incorrectly.
- We cannot accept products back simply because you changed your mind.
4. Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Orders
If your order:
- arrives damaged,
- is materially defective,
- is unsafe,
- or you receive the wrong items,
please contact us within 24 hours of delivery at admin@jrp-bakery.co.uk.
Please include:
- your order number,
- photographs of the issue,
- outer packaging photographs where relevant,
- and a description of the problem.
We may request additional information to investigate the issue.
Where appropriate, we may:
- provide a replacement,
- issue a partial refund,
- issue a full refund,
- or provide store credit.
Refunds will be made to the original payment method where applicable.
5. Delivery Issues
Customers must ensure:
- the delivery address is accurate,
- someone is available to receive the parcel where necessary,
- and products are stored appropriately after delivery.
We are not responsible for:
- failed deliveries caused by incorrect address details,
- missed deliveries,
- delays caused by couriers outside our reasonable control,
- or deterioration caused by improper storage after delivery.
6. Shelf Life & Storage
Our products are designed to be ambient stable when stored in accordance with the instructions provided.
Customers are responsible for:
- following all storage instructions,
- observing best before dates,
- and ensuring products are consumed within the recommended timeframe after opening.
7. Trade / Wholesale Orders
Business customers should inspect goods immediately upon receipt.
Any issues must be reported within:
- 24 hours for damages or shortages,
- and before resale or distribution.
We reserve the right to refuse claims where products have already been resold, relabelled, repackaged or improperly stored.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- wholesale orders are non-returnable,
- and bespoke or made-to-order products are non-refundable except where faulty.
8. Allergens
Our products may contain or be produced in environments handling:
- cereals containing gluten,
- milk,
- eggs,
- nuts,
- soya,
- sulphites,
- and other allergens.
Customers are responsible for reviewing ingredient and allergen information before purchase.
If you require allergen information, please contact us before ordering.
